Many of you know firsthand Stephen’s winning smile, generous heart, and helping hand. You may also know that Stephen had an ankle injury earlier this year. After missed diagnoses, a doctor finally gave Stephen an MRI and recommended a foot and ankle specialist surgeon. The MRI showed a ruptured Achilles tendon with extensive damage. Thankfully, a skilled surgeon was able to successfully reconstruct the tendon this Monday, May 12th. Surgery was complex with a 12" incision, and now recovery begins.

Stephen will be out of work for longer than disability insurance will cover, adding an additional burden above and beyond his medical bills.

Funds will go towards:

• Current medical bills, after insurance, totaling $4,000

• Follow up care and PT, after insurance, estimated at $2,000

• Loss of income while on short term disability, $1850

• Loss of income after short term disability ends, until able to return to work, currently estimated $9,600
