My name is Henry Rosenkranz. Stephen Musgrove and I have been best friends since the fourth grade. Stephen is a federally employed mail carrier who walks his route daily. On 8/23/24 Steve was a in serious car accident on the highway on his way home from work. Although Steve was not at fault, he was seriously injured and totaled his car. Steve’s injuries included knocking out a front tooth, 7 broken ribs, a shattered pelvis, broken femur, lacerated liver, cuts and contusions from head to stomach as well as a dislocated hip, rotated leg and broken back. Obviously this has put him on a long and difficult road to recovery. Doctors have said he will not be able to work until sometime next year. He was in the hospital from 8/23 until 9/1 when he was moved to a rehab facility for specialized therapy. Steve has already shown a dedicated commitment to getting back to his old self and has been working hard at his therapy sessions. However, on top of the loss of his vehicle, the mountain of medical bills, and the loss of income for an extended period of time, Steve also is being forced to move since he lives in a top floor apartment and will be unable to do any stairs for the foreseeable future. I am starting this go fund me as a way for those who care about to Steve to be able to support him in the most important and helpful way possible: financially. I was in a similar situation a year ago and the go fund me my friends started relieved a huge burden and allowed me to focus on my therapy and recovery and not panic about my bills. I want Steve to know we got his back so he can concentrate all his energy and effort on recovery.
