Stephen Hadala's family

On December 27th, Stephen Hadala, a beloved husband, father, brother, son, and friend to countless people, passed after being hospitalized with pneumonia. Stephen was a celebrated professional ballet dancer and teacher. In his 16-year career with Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre  he became known for his brilliant character portrayals of some of ballet's most celebrated roles - Don Quixote, Von Rothbart, Dr. Coppelius, and many more. Stephen's joy and kindness touched all who met him and this loss has left his family and friends reeling.  

Our hearts and minds go immediately to his incredible wife Maghen, and his two young children. We know that Maghen will not ask us for help, so we take it upon ourselves to seek it for her. Funds raised will go to whatever needs the family has - be it final arrangements, living expenses, or savings for the years ahead. 

Maghen and Steve have given so much to us all, and it is time to give back. We hope that whatever amount we can raise will provide some small amount of relief to Steve's family in this unthinkably difficult time. All funds will be received by the family directly.
