Life as we know it can change in minutes, as it did for Stephen and Sonja Griffin on October 18th. As a friend of Stephen and Sonja, I am setting up a GoFundMe account. I believe that this is a wonderful way to help them. For all of you that have asked about helping, this is the way!

Stephen Griffin was lighting a grill that exploded. He was burned from the waist up, including his arms, hands, and face, having 1st, 2nd, and 3rd degree burns. He was airlifted to Atlanta. When released to go home, it was understood that he and his wife, Sonja, must go to Atlanta once a week to the Grady Burn Center to treat his burned body. His shoulder was injured and pulled out of joint at the time of the accident. He is having light physical therapy to keep his shoulder moving until his burns are healed. The orthopedic doctor wants to make sure his burns are healed before any work on his shoulder is done. At that point, he will most likely have surgery to repair the shoulder. He has a very long road ahead, to first heal his burned body and then shoulder repair and physical therapies. This GoFundMe account is to help with medical bills, trips to Grady Burn Center in Atlanta, treatments, therapies, loss of income, and any other necessary expenses.

Friends of Stephen and Sonja have asked how we can help them. I believe this is our best way to show our love and concern for them. Please give if you feel led. Please continue to pray for Stephen’s complete healing.
