My name is Stephanie, and I am reaching out during one of the most challenging times of my life. Not long ago, I lost my home and have been staying with family while trying to get back on my feet. Just as I was adjusting to these changes, I was involved in a serious car accident on Monday the 16th that totaled my only vehicle. The accident left me with a broken back, requiring major surgery and a long road of inpatient rehab before I can even think about returning home.


Because I work part-time, I do not qualify for short-term disability, so I am currently on a leave of absence without any income. My family has been incredibly supportive, but they live about an hour away and have to drive back and forth to visit me and bring me the things I need. The cost of gas and basic living expenses is adding up quickly, and it’s been overwhelming to face these challenges all at once.
