My sister Stephanie was recently a victim of a hit-and-run as a pedestrian. she was given the right of way, but once she was almost done crossing, the driver sped up. I do believe this was intentional, as they ran her over twice and fled the scene. There is footage of the crash and what side of the gas station they turned to, but unfortunately, there is no clear view of the plates from the gas station.

she now has both sides of her pelvis fractured and part of her lower back broken due to this. She was hospitalized for 4 days. Thankfully, no surgery was necessary, but it will take 3 months for a full recovery. Right now, she is in a walker and wheelchair now. Due to the hospital not taking her insurance, she is overwhelmed and unsure what to do. We all feel very helpless knowing that we don’t have much and that the person might’ve gotten away. It is still under investigation, but we don’t ask for much; a prayer is more than enough.
