My name is Stephanie, and I am facing one of the toughest battles of my life. About a year ago, I started getting sick and found myself in and out of hospitals, undergoing countless scans and tests. Things took a turn for the worse when I became extremely ill and anemic, requiring nine blood transfusions. It was after this difficult period that I finally received my diagnosis: stage three ovarian cancer.
Since then, my life has changed dramatically. I am unable to work because I have to undergo radiation five days a week and chemotherapy two days a week, each session lasting five hours. After my treatments, I am left exhausted and can do little more than rest. My husband is working as hard as he can to support us, but the mounting medical expenses have become overwhelming. We are struggling to keep up with our regular bills—rent, car note, electric, phone, and insurance—on top of the medical costs. The copayments for every visit, five days a week, and the high price of all the medicines I need, including steroids, antibiotics, pain medicine, IV antibiotics, and iron, are making it impossible to stay afloat.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, prayed, or simply taken a moment to think of my family and me. Walking this cancer journey—especially knowing so many others are fighting their own battles—has shown me how strong and compassionate people truly are. To those who are also struggling with cancer, please know you are not alone, and you are always in my prayers. Your kindness, love, and support mean more than words can express. Thank you for every donation, every prayer, and every message of hope. From my family to yours, may God bless you with strength, comfort, and peace.
