Hello, this is Victoria, Stephanie’s daughter. My mother was having pelvic pain. After she established a primary care doctor, her doctor sent her in for a CT scan of her pelvic area. The CT scan caught what they thought might have been shadows in the heart. Then they sent her to the Medical Research Center in Kansas City for cardiac catheterization, which found it was not a shadow; it was a Myxoma Mass in her heart.

On the 2nd of July, she had to go in for a pulmonary function test of her lungs. On the 9th of July, she goes in to speak with the anesthesiologist to meet the team and undergo a bunch of more tests like blood work, X-rays of the chest, etc. On the 25th of July, she will be undergoing open heart surgery. The surgeon told her that she will be in ICU for 2 days, depending on how surgery goes, and up to 10 days in the hospital.

Right now she is on short-term disability and then once she has open heart surgery she will be on long-term disability, but it will not cover all her monthly bills unfortunately. If you can not donate, we would greatly appreciate it if you could share this.
