My name is Kelly Hamilton and am a close friend of Stephanie’s. I’ve witnessed firsthand the strength and resilience she’s shown through this incredibly challenging journey. In 2019, Stephanie, a driven and energetic go-getter, began experiencing alarming symptoms like jumbled speech and episodes of sleep paralysis. As these symptoms worsened, she realized it was more than stress—it was a chronic condition taking over her life. After years of uncertainty, a diagnosis of idiopathic hypersomnia, likely narcolepsy, brought some clarity. While medication offered partial relief, new symptoms began to emerge, leaving local doctors stumped. With the support of her dedicated team of healthcare providers and her family, Stephanie decided to pursue acceptance into the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, hoping for the answers.

In mid-February, she and her family will travel to Florida for the first of many trips in search of a path forward. While this journey has taken a toll both physically and financially, Stephanie's faith and her family's unwavering support have kept them going. The financial strain of mounting medical bills and lost income has been extremely challenging.
