Hi friends, family, and community,
Thank you so much to everyone who has checked in on me, offered kind words, and held me in your heart during this transition. Your support means more than you know.
I want to share an honest update about where things stand.
Over the last few months, my disability has become more challenging physically. I recently lost my Nutrition Assistance benefits, which forced me to begin driving for Lyft to cover basic expenses. Unfortunately, due to pain in my driving leg, I can only manage about 2–3 hours of driving per day. This makes it incredibly difficult to earn enough to stay stable while my body navigates these limits.
My appeal for the disability claim was denied this week. My attorney told me it will be six to eight months to see a Judge.
On top of all of this, I have to move into a new place — a safe space for me and Little Bear. I need help bridging the gap so I can step into this next chapter with stability.
What I need to raise before January 1st:
$1,050 for my share of rent
$1,500 for the security deposit
Total needed: $2,550
Every donation — big or small — brings me closer to a safe, stable home and gives me the breathing room I need to continue healing, working, and rebuilding my life.
If you’ve known me for any length of time, you know how hard I work and how deeply I believe in service, love, and community. Asking for help is not easy for me, but I also know that we rise together. I am choosing to trust that the universe works through people — and that sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is let ourselves receive.
Your support will help me:
1. Secure housing
2. Cover my move-in costs
3. Reduce the physical strain from overworking while disabled
4. Regain stability so I can continue serving my community through my wellness work, energy healing, writing, and volunteer service
If you are unable to donate, sharing this update is just as valuable. Every bit of support helps. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me get back on my feet again.
With love, gratitude, and hope,
Stephanie & Little Bear
