After friends and family encouraged me, I've decided to put my pride aside and share our story. My name is Stephanie. I'm 32 years old, married to my husband for 4 years, and together we're raising 4 kids.

This past year has been incredibly difficult for our family. At the end of June 2025, my husband's workplace caught fire and was almost completely destroyed. Since then, his hours have been cut significantly. While I do work full-time, he was our main source of income, so this has placed a huge financial strain on us.

Over the past few months, I started getting sick more often, experiencing extreme fatigue, headaches, and constant illness. In late February, I finally went in for blood work. The results were concerning, and after more testing and a referral to a specialist, my world changed overnight. On St. Patrick's Day, I was told I had leukemia. After further testing, including a bone marrow biopsy, I was officially diagnosed on April 6th with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. This diagnosis is still very new, and we're doing our best to process everything.

Lately, I've been dealing with nausea, vomiting, dizziness, severe fatigue, and ongoing pain in my hips, back, and legs. Even basic daily activities have become challenging. Although I've always worked full-time and my job has been incredibly supportive, it's becoming harder and harder for me to keep up. I do have short-term disability, but it only covers a portion of my income. With my husband's reduced hours, we are struggling to keep up with both household and growing medical expenses.

Funds raised will go directly toward our bills and medical costs during this time. This is not easy for me to share. Asking for help is something I struggle with, but right now, we truly need it.
