Help Us Bring Hands-On Education to Communities in Need!

Hi everyone! My name is Stephanie Winston, the owner of The Winston Homestead LLC, a black-owned, woman-owned educational company on a mission to empower communities with skills in sustainable living, hydroponics, and self-sufficiency.

Thanks to a Texas Women’s University StartHER Grant, we’ve already secured $5,000 to purchase and convert an ambulance into a mobile classroom—a traveling hub to teach hydroponics and sustainable living skills to rural and underserved areas. But we’re still $3,000 short of covering the full cost of the vehicle, and that’s where you come in!

What This Mobile Classroom Will Do:

Empower All Ages to Grow Food: Learn hydroponics and grow fresh food at home—even in small spaces.

Teach Sustainable Cooking & Food Production: Hands-on workshops to make healthy, homegrown meals.

Inspire the Next Generation: Engage kids and teens in solving real-world food challenges.

Bring Resources Where They’re Needed Most: Deliver education and opportunities to underserved communities.

Launching Summer 2025!

With your help, we’ll have the mobile classroom fully funded, equipped, and ready to roll by the summer of 2025. We’re so excited to hit the road and make an impact across West Texas and beyond!

Your Impact:

Your donations will help us close the $3,000 gap to buy the ambulance and make this mobile classroom a reality. And if we raise more than $3,000? Even better! Any extra funds will go toward:

• A mini 3D printer to create tools for hydroponics demonstrations. ($400)

• A solar generator to power the classroom off-grid. ( $2,600)

• Additional hydroponic supplies to expand our workshops.

Every dollar gets us closer to delivering these life-changing workshops and giving communities the tools they need to grow, thrive, and be more self-sufficient.
