As many of you already know, Mom, Stephanie McCutcheon was recently diagnosed with ALS, specifically Upper Motor Neuron Dominant ALS. Mom and Dad are both beginning to walk through the options that are available to help with managing ALS. We are continuing to pray for God's guidance as we speak with Neurologists, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Dieticians, and Respiratory Therapists to create a plan encompassing management through medication, gene therapy, whole mind and body care options, for Mom's care. If gene therapy or stem cell therapy becomes a viable option form Mom, treatments can range from $5,000 - $15,000 each. She will have a combination of in-person, telehealth, and at-home visits. We are undergoing additional testing to explore options with the UCSF ALS Clinic team assigned to Mom's care.

We have had many of you reach to ask how you may be able to assist us in this journey. At this time, as medical expenses have begun rolling in, it would be helpful to have support in covering out-of-network deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, and required non-covered prescriptions. There is still so much that is unknown that we are walking through with the recent diagnosis but we know we have a whole army of prayer warriors who are continuing to cover mom in their prayers and we greatly appreciate it.
