Please help Stephanie lay her brother Kevin to rest.

On September 1, 2023, just as she was starting her second year at Cal Berkeley, her family was struck by a drunk driver who was unlicensed and uninsured. He ran a red light going 70+mph in a 25 mph zone.

In a single night, Stephanie lost her mother and her brother at the scene. Twelve days later, she was faced with the devastating responsibility of taking her father off life support.

Stephanie's brother, Kevin, survived the crash but suffered a severe traumatic brain injury. Doctors gave him less than a ten percent chance of survival. Kevin defied those odds. After a ten-month coma, he awoke and in time, regained the ability to walk and communicate. Kevin fought every day to live his new reality, carrying both physical and mental pain.

Yesterday, Kevin fell. His brain, already so fragile from the injuries he had endured, could not withstand the impact. Kevin passed away.

Stephanie is now facing the unthinkable reality of burying her last immediate family member. The weight of grief, responsibility, and stacked trauma is immense.

This fundraiser is to help Stephanie cover Kevin’s funeral and burial expenses. Kevin fought so hard to stay here. Stephanie needs to honor that fight and say goodbye with love, laying him to rest with their mother, father, and brother.
