Stand with Stephanie: Donate to help her battle lupus

Hi! My name is Stephanie Golden. My life changed drastically in September 2024, after what I thought was a simple trip to the ER. Nothing could be further from the truth. My T-cells and blood counts were so low, I could not control my body.

After an inpatient stay, countless tests, occasional trips to the ER, and weekly visits to a team of doctors, I was diagnosed with severe systemic lupus ethromytosus (SLE), cutaneous (skin) lupus ethromytosus (CLE), and pulmonary fibrosis. Lupus has caused damage to my heart and lungs. To protect them from further damage, my immune system is being suppressed through a lot of medication. Also, there is no cure for lupus.

The treatment for my lupus requires me to see a team of specialist and have numerous test almost on a weekly basis. My medical expenses are overwhelming. I tried to push myself to work to cover the mounting medical bills, medications, and living expenses, but my current condition doesn't allow me to.

Right now, I am on disability from my employer, which has me struggling to focus on my health and healing. The money raised will be used to help me with expenses incurred during this medical crisis. I usually don't like to publicly ask for help, but I need your support. The money will go towards paying for critical medications needed to help my body fight the lupus, visits to the many specialist I see, and other expenses, such as transportation to medical appointments and testing.
