Hello! My name is Stephanie Bright!

I have the beautiful opportunity to travel to the country of Angola, Africa on a 30-day mission trip. God has ordained my story for 28 years, and this chapter in the story is no different.

If you may or may not know, I have a background in nursing and worked as a labor and delivery nurse, and also a forensic nurse, for a total of 4 years. In 2022, I felt led to leave my nursing career and go into ministry full-time. Although it was a tough decision, I knew God was calling me to this next step, and I needed to be obedient. When I left nursing, I never imagined that I would return to nursing, but God had other plans, and this mission trip is evidence of that!

Through a divine connection with a sister in Christ, this trip opportunity was revealed! With this trip to Angola, I will be able to use my experience in ministry and in nursing. I will travel to join other established missionaries already present in Caluquembe, Angola, Africa. I will be able to work with pregnant women in a maternity home/ward who are having maternal complications, along with working with the women in the community to educate, promote prevention of complications, and help facilitate the development of the community, specifically for the women. I also will be living next door to a nursing school of approximately 200 young girls. This will be a great opportunity to mentor and pour into a younger generation.

In all of these opportunities, the gospel of Jesus Christ will be spread.

For many of the women in the community struggling with certain maternal complications, it has caused them to be ostracized from society. I will be able to meet them in their loneliness, and share the love of Jesus, that knows no heights or depths. With the nursing school students, I will introduce them to the Creator of the human bodies in which they are studying, and the Chief Physician.

As many of you know, I also love to worship, to teach about Scripture, and to use whatever skills I have to give glory to the God. All that will be accomplished during my month in Angola.

I am scheduled to depart Sept 27 and return October 30. The first 3 days, and last 3 days are dedicated to travel days, as I will be in a remote area, that does not have direct travel.

I know that God has His fingerprint all over this trip.
