Support Stephanie Armour's Fight for Justice

Donation protected
Please support Stephanie Armour’s lawsuit against Dow Jones—an effort to hold the Wall Street Journal and all big companies accountable.

We are asking for your support to help us ensure that your boss can't lie about you and your work.

We are asking for your support to ensure that the companies we work for don't discriminate against people.

All funds raised will be used to cover legal costs.

Stephanie’s lawsuit alleges that The Wall Street Journal used false performance allegations to force her out of her job after twelve years at the paper. Making false accusations to justify disciplining an employee is a fraud.

We also allege that Stephanie was targeted because she had sought accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Stephanie isn’t alone. The WSJ has been forcing out or outright firing scores of highly experienced journalists—including Pulitzer winners and nominees—using similar false allegations.

As the Wall Street Journal, itself, reported, The Journal’s actions are part of a wider pattern in corporate America. Companies routinely use false performance reviews as justification to fire and/or push out workers. It’s important to fight back and send a message that this isn’t OK. That’s what Stephanie’s lawsuit will do—with your support.

Stephanie is fighting for herself and to set legal precedents that will protect all employees from being fired because of fraudulent reviews. But the legal costs are expensive and that’s where we need your help. Every dollar raised will be used to defray legal costs.

More background:

In 2022, Stephanie Armour's dream job as a reporter for The Wall Street Journal became a nightmare. In 2022—after twelve-plus years with the Journal—the paper’s new Washington Bureau Chief and coverage chief claimed she was not meeting job expectations. Stephanie’s PIP was entirely false and bogus.

Stephanie, a single mother with two children, was forced to find other work—she could not afford to be fired and left with no income. The process devastated her. It caused her to lose health benefits, so that she has spent thousands out of pocket, as well as the loss of back pay and a raise she would have been entitled to.

Make no mistake, what the Journal did to Stephanie can happen to you.

Which is why we are asking you to join us. To support this ground-breaking lawsuit. Again, every dollar raised will be used to defray legal costs.
