My name is Kerry O'Neill. My friends Steph and Anthony are going through the unimaginable. She and her husband will be at the hospital with her three year old daughter for possibly the foreseeable future and will be unable to work. These are great people who work very hard to provide for this sweet girl, any and all help is appreciated as they navigate lost wages and enormous medical bills.
Skylar has been diagnosed with restrictive cardiomyopathy.
Skylar's dad, Anthony had the unfortunate experience of going through this very thing when he was only 8 years old and though there is ongoing testing for genetic reasoning, there is no doubt this is hereditary.
The doctors are telling them there are three paths of possibility:
- The line inserted to her heart that is currently delivering medicine will not work, and she will sadly decline.
- The medicine will be successful, but she will still have to remain on a waiting list in the hospital for a heart transplant.
- They are stating that she is a good candidate for a transplant now.
All roads seem to lead to an inevitable transplant and an extended hospital stay. This family will need so much help with hospital bills and lost wages, and I'd love to help lighten the load for them.
Steph and Anthony are great members of the community, selling local eggs from their own chickens, and Steph is a member of the Farmer's Market selling homemade soaps and beautiful resin items.
