At Horace Mann Elementary, our STEM Club is built on a simple belief: when students have the tools to create, they begin to see themselves as innovators.
Each week, students design and test solutions to real-world challenges. Their ideas are bold — but our current tools limit what they can bring to life. We are seeking funding for a Bambu Lab H2S 3D printer with a laser engraving attachment to transform imagination into tangible creation.
With this technology, students will:
- Design and print original 3D models using CAD
- Prototype engineering solutions
- Create math and science models
- Engrave designs for interdisciplinary projects
- Explore real-world applications of engineering and manufacturing
This is more than equipment. It’s a gateway to problem-solving, creativity, and career exploration.
Access to advanced maker tools is often limited to well-funded districts. Our 400+ students deserve the same opportunity to design, build, and innovate. Early exposure to this technology builds spatial reasoning, computational thinking, and resilience — skills that last a lifetime.
Your support will fund the printer, safety equipment, and ongoing materials for student projects. Every contribution moves us closer to placing professional-grade innovation tools in the hands of young creators.
When a child holds something they designed from scratch, confidence grows. Identity forms. They begin to see themselves not just as students — but as engineers and designers.
Thank you for helping us empower the next generation of innovators.
Sincerely,
Adam Packard
