Hi, my name is Maddie, and I’m asking for help for our sweet 3-year-old corgi, Stella.
Since she was a puppy, Stella has struggled with urinary incontinence. It isn’t just occasional—it’s constant. For most of her life, she has had a continuous dribble, which means she has had to wear diapers just to manage day-to-day life.
We’ve done everything we can for her over the past three years—medications like Proin, frequent vet visits, and constant cleaning to try and keep her clean and comfortable. Even with all of that, it’s been incredibly hard to stay ahead of it. Because of the constant dribbling, it’s nearly impossible to keep her fully dry, and she often ends up laying in her own urine despite our best efforts.
This has taken a toll on her quality of life. Stella gets frequent UTIs, is often on antibiotics, deals with ongoing skin irritation, and has much lower energy than a young dog should.
Financially, we have already paid well over $2,000 out of pocket trying to manage her condition.
Since having our baby girl in July 2025, we’ve had to rely on a CareCredit card just to keep up with her monthly vet visits, and we currently carry a balance from her care (Current balance is $1,315.34)
While we may have a baby girl now and can’t afford Stella’s care the way we once could, Stella was our first babygirl. That hasn’t changed, and it never will. Having a child hasn’t stopped us from caring for her and her needs—it has just slowed us down financially.
Starting a GoFundMe wasn’t something we ever wanted to do. We didn’t want to ask for handouts. But at this point, we are putting our pride aside because Stella truly deserves the best life.
Our vets believe she may have a condition called ectopic ureters, which would explain why nothing has fully worked. We recently had her evaluated at Mizzou University Veterinary Hospital. While the ultrasound didn’t give us answers, they have not ruled it out. The next step is a scope procedure that will allow them to look internally and hopefully diagnose—and possibly correct—the issue.
The cost of this procedure is around $2,500.
Stella is part of our family. She has a brother, Tucker, who is full of energy and just wants to play with her—but she just doesn’t feel well enough to keep up. We don’t want to give up on her, and we don’t want her to continue living like this when there may be a solution.
With everything going on, we simply can’t do this alone.
Funds raised will go directly toward Stella’s care, including paying down her current CareCredit balance, covering future veterinary visits, and funding the exploratory scope procedure and any corrective surgery needed to finally give her relief. Excess funds will be donated back to the dog community and helping other furry friends.
If you are able to donate, share, or even just keep Stella in your thoughts and prayers, it would mean more to us than we can express.
Thank you so much for helping us give Stella the chance at the healthy, happy life she deserves.
