Support Stella's Fight Against Aplastic Anemia

I have increased our fundraising goal as we are now into a new year which means insurance deductibles have started over. They have $20,000 in just insurance deductibles. Stella is currently undergoing surgery for her port. Today is 1/16/25 She will begin chemotherapy and undergo the bone marrow transplant on 1/23/25. She will then be in the hospital, in an isolation room, for 4-6 weeks. This road will be long, but she will get through it. Thank you to everyone who has donated thus far. Any amount is appreciated.

Hi everyone, I am raising funds for my sister, Sarah, and her family. Her youngest daughter, my niece Stella, was diagnosed this week with aplastic anemia. It is a rare condition in which the body stops producing enough new blood cells.

Aplastic anemia develops as a result of bone marrow damage. It’s more complicated than that, but that’s a basic description.

Stella is the most outgoing 8 year old you’ll ever meet. Because of her diagnosis she will not be allowed to return to school for a long time. She won’t be able to be around crowds in general. She will also have to endure weekly blood transfusions, immunosuppressants, and eventually, a bone marrow transplant.

My sister is a hairstylist. She has no vacation days left. If she can’t work, she doesn’t make money. My brother in law is quickly running out of vacation days too. As you can imagine, the medical bills with weeks in the hospital and weekly blood transfusions will add up quickly. Any donation, little to big, would be greatly appreciated.

Stella is a fighter. Her parents and entire family will fight with her. She will overcome her diagnosis. They just need some help in the meantime.
