I never thought i’d have to do this, my name is marissa and i’m a sophomore in college. My sweet sweet girl, Stella, my 5 year old Border Collie. Stella is the best thing that has ever happened to our family, she has the sweetest soul and no matter how sick she gets she tries her hardest to be the happy pup she is. Stella has been battling epilepsy for two years. Despite being on three different medications, they aren’t working anymore. Her seizures have become severe and frequent, with a recent episode involving eight cluster seizures on October 11 . We rushed her to the Emergency care center, although they stopped the seizures that night she continued to have multiple more seizures yesterday and more early this morning. Her body is reacting poorly with so many seizures, her body is weak. Stella is dragging her back feet, having difficulty seeing, and she’s in pain. We urgently need to take her to a specialist neurologist to find a better treatment plan. As a college student, I’m so grateful my parents are caring for her, but the medical bills are overwhelming. I am wanting to help my parents with the financial needs as a thank you for giving her the best care they can offer, and most importantly help my sweet girl, Stella.
