Help 4-Year-Old Stellan Get to His Life-Saving Liver Transplant

Hi friends, family, and kind strangers,

Our sweet nephew Stellan is just 4 years old, and he’s already been through more than most of us will face in a lifetime. Now, he needs a lifesaving liver transplant, and we’re asking for your help.

Stellan’s Story

From the day he was born, Stellan has been a fighter. He was diagnosed with a rare and serious combination of conditions, including:

Obliterative Portal Venopathy

Chronic Portal Vein Thrombosis

Portal Hypertension

Esophageal Varices

These medical challenges affect his heart, liver, and digestive system — and they require constant, specialized care.

In only four years, he has endured more than most do in a lifetime: a Whipple surgery with portal vein reconstruction, a second major vein reconstruction just a year later, and endless hospital stays battling infections and complications.

Despite everything, Stellan is full of joy and light. He’s bubbly, curious, and deeply loving. His bond with his big sister Evvy is pure magic, and his presence lights up the lives of his parents, Andy and Abby, and everyone who knows him. He is our sun, our moon, and our stars.

Why We’re Raising Funds

Stellan is now preparing for a liver transplant at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, one of the top pediatric centers in the country. To make this possible, Andy and Abby are relocating their family to be closer to the hospital and his medical team.

This move — combined with the costs of treatment, housing, and daily life during transplant recovery — has created an overwhelming financial strain.
