Meet my grandprincess, Stella Rose; she made her early appearance at 29 weeks on 2/5/25. She weighed 3 lbs 10.9 oz. She has had the odds stacked against her due to SVT (heart) and heart failure while in mommy's tummy. The doctors said Georgina/Stella's sickness was the worst case they have ever treated, and they are treating her based on textbook and research.
Since her birth, they have discovered that she's having seizures. They are running tests to determine the cause. She has coded a few times since her arrival, and doctors have successfully done CPR to bring her back. She is on a ventilator, but they have been able to lower it to 45%, which is great. She's a fighter and is proving the doctors wrong (they told everyone she had minimal chance of survival).
Stella is in critical condition; we all continue to pray. Baby Stella's mommy, Georgina, is also dealing with problems from having an emergency C-section. She lost a lot of blood and is receiving transfusions among other things.
Stella, mommy, and daddy have a very long road ahead of them. Doctors believe Stella will be in the hospital for 4-6 months.
Stella's daddy, Patrick, was granted a 60-day leave of absence from work to take care of his wife/Stella's mommy, Georgina, while trying to be at Stella's bedside too. Unfortunately, it will not be paid time off.
I believe God is in control, I believe God is a miracle worker, and He has placed His healing hands on baby Stella. I also believe in the power of prayer, so I am asking for prayers for Stella, Patrick, and Georgina.
Any help you can give will be very much appreciated, and I know God will bless you beyond measure.
