Hello, "I’m Marvis Okojie, and I reach out to you with a heavy heart. I’m seeking your support to help cover my mom’s urgent medical treatment costs as she fights for her life.

In December 2023, my mom was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease (CKD). Despite our best efforts, by May 2024, her kidneys failed completely. She has been on dialysis for the past five months, which has been vital in keeping her alive! However, her doctors have advised that a kidney transplant is critical for her survival because they are concerned that she won't be able to continue dialysis for much longer.

Asking for help is not easy for us, but these are extraordinary circumstances. Any donation, no matter how small, would make a significant difference and go directly towards her lifesaving treatment. Please, consider contributing so we can beat the clock and give my mom a chance to overcome kidney failure.

Our Journey So Far

My mom has been battling diabetes for over 25 years, along with the complications that come with it. In 2022, she had to undergo an amputation of her right leg due to a foot ulcer. Shortly after her recovery, her kidneys failed, and we now face this critical situation.

She undergoes dialysis twice a week, which costs approximately 160,000 Naira each session, not including her medication, totaling around 700,000 Naira monthly. We urgently need to raise funds for her surgery.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 (30 million Naira) to cover the surgery and post-operative care, giving her a chance to be with her husband, children, and grandchildren, who mean the world to her.

My mom has always been a devoted partner and caregiver, especially to my dad, who lost his sight after a failed neurosurgery.
