Hello, my name is Stef and I am 27 years old. I’m starting this gofundme to help me afford the gender affirming surgery I so desperately need. Since I was very young I’ve always know that I’ve been trans. Going through puberty as someone AFAB was a complete nightmare. I would look at myself in the mirror and hate the person that was looking back at me. I felt like I could never talk to anyone about my insecurities with gender and my identity because no one would understand. For years and years I would suppress this feeling, at certain points in my life I fell into deep depression and it was very hard to get out of that scary place. A few years ago I told myself I couldn’t keep lying to myself and live like this anymore for the past 5 to 6 years I have been heavily struggling with gender dysphoria because of my chest and appearing to feminine. I can’t dress the way I want to or I have to tone it down with my makeup and the way that I expressed myself so I can appear more masculine. No one ever respects me in my pronouns people see me and automatically assume I’m a woman. I can’t continue living this way, I am so unhappy with my appearance and my breasts. Having top surgery would truly be a life-changing for me. not only wood top surgery do wonders for my mental health and my confidence, but it would also improve my back pain and neck pain. I experienced daily, unfortunately due to not having insurance or the funding needed. It is not something that I can afford to pay for on my own, so I am asking for donations of any kind from the LGBTQ+ community to help me be able to afford this life-changing surgery.
