Our dear friend Steffy recently experienced every parent's worst nightmare—the sudden loss of her son, Nehemiah. As Steffy, her family, and Nehemiah's loved ones navigate this heartbreaking tragedy, we are coming together as friends, fellow recovery advocates, and community members to help ease some of the financial burden that accompanies such a profound loss.
Nehemiah leaves behind children who are now facing life without their father. In the months ahead, they will need support, stability, clothing, school supplies, and the everyday necessities that every child deserves. Their mother is also grieving this tremendous loss while helping the children adjust to a future that looks very different than anyone imagined.
Steffy is self-employed, and taking time away from work to grieve, support her family, and be present for Nehemiah's children comes at a significant financial cost.
