This is Steel.. I got a phone call that broke my heart as I heard the cries in the background of this little boy holding onto his doggy bawling his eyes out. Steel’s owners noticed he had not been acting right, not eating or drinking, and throwing up. They took him into AAH where it showed on X-rays he has eaten a corn cob and it is stuck. They’ve been given 2 options… surgery or euthanasia due to it being such a large/hard object. This family, being a hard working family but still having financial struggles just like everyone, put down $900 (the only money they have) and also got approved for another $900. I have some left over funding K9-Kids I will put down but we are needing quite a hefty amount of donations due to this surgery being a really tough, long, extensive one and done on a weekend when the doctor could be at home instead. They also won’t know how bad it is until they open him up so the donation set amount should cover what is needed. This is one of the reasons that I continue to rescue dogs and help animals in need of medical attention. I have help fundraise for an older man’s dachshund’s leg to be helped, another woman’s German shepherd that got attacked, and many more. I would think that our community can come together and help this boy not lose his best friend. Please if you’re able to donate anything helps and is so greatly appreciated! You can donate to my go fund me, Venmo/cash app me, or call directly up to AAH and they will send you a link to donate to. Thank you so much. Please share!!!
