Most of you already know that Steavie was admitted to the hospital on 11-28-2025. We were out Black Friday shopping when he suddenly felt a sharp, intense pain, like being hit in the head with an axe. The pain kept coming and going throughout the day. Later that evening he began having chest pain and numbness on his left side, which led us to take him to the hospital.

After running tests and bloodwork, the doctors were thankfully able to rule out a stroke, praise the Lord! However, they did find some abnormalities in his brain. They are running more tests to determine the cause. One concern they’ve mentioned is possible vasculitis, which is an inflammation/infection of the blood vessels in the brain, though that is still just a broad diagnosis at this point.

The neurologist has instructed him not to climb or run a chainsaw, and we have no idea yet when he’ll be able to come home or return to work.

As many of you know, Steavie does not have insurance to help with medical expenses, and my income alone isn’t enough to cover all our bills, especially with Christmas right around the corner. We hate to ask for help, but right now we’re not sure what else to do. If you feel led to donate, even $1, $5, or $10.. anything at all would help us stay afloat until we know our next steps. If you can’t donate, we completely understand. A simple prayer for healing and answers means just as much.
