Fund the STB App: Connecting Local Creatives to Opportunity

I’m George Marfo (Kofi), a young Black entrepreneur on a mission to elevate small businesses into thriving enterprises, and build a legacy that transforms lives. Together with my exceptional team—Kevin, Que, Mamady, Dusse, Brandon, and Terrance. We’ve nurtured something extraordinary out of humble beginnings: vibrant Instagram communities such as STB African Businesses, STB Ladies Businesses (Parts 1 & 2), Crypto & Stocks, STB Work Opportunities, STB Health & Fitness, STB Book Club, STB Models (Parts 1 & 2), Spark the Brain, STB Art, and STB Travelers. What started as intimate group chats has blossomed into a dynamic network of over 2,000 creatives and entrepreneurs, each hungry for community, visibility, and real opportunities. Yet this informal digital space has limits, and the dreams we spark deserve structure and scale. That’s why we’re creating the Spark the Brain Network (STB) app, a freemium platform that’s more than just a tool; it’s a movement that will bring connection, visibility, and opportunity into the hands of those who need it most.

STB exists because too many talented creatives, photographers, stylists, models, freelancers, lack a centralized platform to be discovered, to connect, to get paid fairly, and to grow. Black, brown, and underground creatives are often overlooked on major platforms; beginner artists lack guidance and fair pricing; gigs go unanswered, underpaid, or unreliably booked. We’re addressing all of this head-on. Our freemium app will serve as a vibrant digital home with group chats, booking tools, educational resources, mentorship, and spotlight features that counter bias and unlock opportunity.

Once launched, the STB app will automatically pinpoint users’ locations and recommend local services, from job agencies to nightlife venues, beauty professionals, artists, and business owners based on user interests. The app will also support podcasts, live interviews, and content that highlight local changemakers and small businesses right where they operate. In essence, we’re packaging a tool that turns casual network energy into real collaboration, income, and creative flourishing.

To build this vision, we need $6,000 to cover app design, development, reliable backend infrastructure, and promotional rollout. That means smooth performance, no max-capacity crashes, and the ability to nurture community growth from day one.
