Help a Mother, Grandmother, and Wife Fight Cervical Cancer and Keep Her Home!

Our beloved Starla Reed has always been the one helping others. She’s a wife, a mom of 6, a “bonus mom” to 3 more (including foster kids she’s loved as her own), and a proud grandmother of 14. She’s spent her life giving — from leading Girl Scouts and running a youth nonprofit, to volunteering in prison ministry and standing up for survivors of domestic violence. Her heart for her community has touched so many people.

Now she’s the one who needs help.

Starla was recently diagnosed with aggressive stage 3 cervical cancer. She’s about to start radiation and chemotherapy, which means her work hours will be cut. She only has 43 hours of sick pay left, and her savings have dropped to under $3,000. The medical bills are already piling up — over $6,740 is due now, and the next 6 months of rent and car payments total about $8,000.

Each visit to the doctor costs $250–$300, and radiation treatments can add up to hundreds of thousands of dollars over the course of treatment. Without help, Starla will be forced to choose between continuing care and keeping her home.

We’re asking for donations to help cover these critical expenses while she focuses on fighting cancer. Every dollar will go toward medical bills, rent, medical supplies, and basic living costs during her treatment.
