Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Movie Lovers Near and Far,

For decades, the Stardust Drive-In in Chetek, Wisconsin has been a magical place where movies meet memories — a space where families laugh under the stars, first dates blossom, and summer nights glow with nostalgia.

It’s always been more than just a movie screen — it’s been our family’s passion and a community treasure, lovingly operated by our family and supported by a crew who’s become family to us.

This year, however, we’ve been faced with an incredibly difficult decision. I have been diagnosed with cancer, and my priority must now shift to healing and spending cherished time with my loved ones. For the first time in many years, the Stardust Drive-In will not open for the 2025 season.

Even though the screen will go dark for now, the behind-the-scenes work to keep the Stardust alive must continue — property maintenance, equipment care, insurance, utilities, and more.

This is where we humbly ask for your help.

We’ve launched this GoFundMe to raise funds to cover essential costs and ensure the Stardust is ready to return when we are. Every donation — big or small — helps us protect this place so it can continue to serve the community for generations to come.
