Help Stan Souza Fight Leukemia: Support a Beloved Husband, Father & Grandfather
Originally from Kaimukī, Oʻahu, Stan Souza is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and at 71, a collegiate to senior pro golfer — known for his loyalty, kindness, and strength.
On June 10, 2025, Stan was rushed to the hospital after suddenly being unable to swallow even a Tylenol. A blood test brought devastating news: aggressive Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
This form of the disease is a fast-moving blood cancer that starts in the bone marrow. It causes the body to produce abnormal white blood cells that grow quickly and crowd out healthy cells. Without immediate treatment, it can become life-threatening in a short time.
Stan has since been hospitalized for 42 straight days, undergoing intense treatment and now facing his second round of chemotherapy. His journey is far from over, with months of treatment, recovery, and follow-up care still ahead.
Why We’re Asking for Help
Stan’s family is now facing overwhelming medical expenses. Between hospital stays, treatments, and ongoing care, the financial burden has become immense.
We are humbly asking for your support to help Stan and his family cover medical bills, ongoing care, and everyday living expenses while he focuses on fighting.
Throughout this difficult time, Stan’s wife, Dee, has been an incredible pillar of strength. She has stayed by his side every single night at the hospital, and this fight simply would not have been possible without her unwavering love and support.
Stan has always been there for the people in his life — bringing laughter, kindness, and strength to every room.
