My name is Shad, and for the past ten years, I poured my heart into Stagl Organics, running a CSA program in Salt Lake City and providing organic vegetables, fruit, herbs, and flowers to my community. When the land I leased was sold, I had to start over. In December 2024, I purchased six acres in Monroe, Utah, determined to build a diversified regenerative organic farm from the ground up. The land came with no utilities, so for the past three months, I’ve relied on neighbors for water and charged my phone in my truck or at work. It’s been a humbling experience, but my passion for nourishing my community keeps me going.
Stagl Organics is more than just a farm—it’s a vision for sustainable agriculture in Southern Utah. Our farm will produce organic vegetables, fruits, mushrooms, honey, goat dairy products, flowers, and value-added goods, all while operating a robust CSA program. We’re also creating additional income streams through an on-farm Airbnb, educational workshops, farm-to-table events, and agritourism experiences. Water resources include three shares of canal water and one groundwater right, but to truly thrive, we need to drill a well, install a solar system, and build a greenhouse. The first year will focus on soil remediation and infrastructure development, laying the foundation for a healthy, productive farm that can serve our community for years to come.
Southern Utah is a food desert, and access to nutrient-dense whole foods is limited. I believe that Stagl Organics can help change that by providing healthy, organic produce and unique farm experiences to those who need it most. I’m asking for your help to overcome these startup challenges and create lasting change in our region. Your generosity will help me build a farm that nourishes my neighbors, supports sustainable agriculture, and provides access to healthy, organic food. Thank you for believing in this mission and supporting Stagl Organics as we grow together.
