Stacy and Kris Goodrich are your everyday couple, and they are my son and daughter-in-law. Their lives changed dramatically when Stacy was found unresponsive and experienced several seizures, both in the ambulance and at the hospital. She was intubated and sedated for several weeks while doctors worked to find the cause. Now, Stacy faces a long recovery, working to regain strength in her arms and legs so she can walk and feed herself again.

Kris has been driving two hours each way to visit Stacy in the hospital, all while worrying about his job and their home. With Kris off work to support Stacy, they are struggling to cover essential expenses like gas, food, electricity, phone, insurance, and car payments. They are not the kind to ask for help, but the situation has made it necessary.
