Hello, with a heavy heart and struggling ourselves, as parents we want to help. We’ve enjoyed visits and want to do more for our daughter than share meals and hold her hand. I shared a photo of my daughter’s ankle to show her disposition with inherent weak ankles and feet. The injury and surgery is going to be a permanent scar, the trauma and bones and nerves need heeling time. I continue to pray for Stacy’s strength and resilience during her rehabilitation.

I am reaching out for her. She boldly shows compassion in her life. I know she needs help getting back to good health.

it was a medical emergency; Stacy Godsey broke her right ankle and had reconstructive surgery of plates, pins and screws to repair a butterfly fracture of the tibia full break of fibula with torn and detached ligaments. The accident happened during a short visit in Tennessee to see her mother-in-law who is battling cancer.

Stacy was released from the hospital and the same day bravely endured the painful journey back to Missouri.

The medical costs and lost wages is a huge financial burden. Stacy was blindsided and suddenly faced with losing her ability to work.

Her job requires a full day of driving, walking, and carrying supplies for community presentations and record keeping. She is struggling emotionally with knowing unless she works, she has no income for her time off. Although it is a serious and life-altering situation, it doesn’t mean more won’t be added to her existing circumstances. Repair costs of a broken HVAC were added a few days ago with surprising hot temperatures at home. It will take months for Stacy’s ankle to heal. Her plan is to go back to work soon since there isn’t short term disability in her work benefits. Confined to her home is creating depression and anxiety.
