Supporting Staci Sansone in Her Fight Against Stage 4 Cancer

We’re raising funds to support Staci and her husband Frank with medical expenses, lost income, and essential care as she fights Stage 4 metastatic cancer.

For months leading up to her diagnosis, Staci Winecoff Sansone had been pushing through a level of back and hip pain that would've overwhelmed most. But anyone who knows her knows her strength - the kind of strength that keeps her showing up for her family, her friends, her community, even when she should be resting herself. What started as simply a "pulled muscle" feeling in her shoulder blade slowly progressed into something she could no longer ignore. The discomfort became constant, her mobility changed, and everyday tasks that once came easily began taking a toll.

Still, Staci kept going. She kept working, kept caring for others, kept trying to make sense of symptoms that didn’t yet have a name. She went through appointments, tests, and follow ups, ER visits, physical therapy and chiropractic appointments, even walking with a cane while searching for answers and trying to maintain some sense of normalcy. Even as the pain intensified and new symptoms appeared, she held onto her humor, her grit, and her determination to push forward.

It was on February 4th, 2026 (World Cancer Day), when she received the news no one expects to hear. Staci received a diagnosis of unknown Stage 4 metastatic disease. After multiple tests and hospitalizations, doctors now believe it to be a gastrointestinal cancer and are hoping to get further answers from her recent PET scan.

Staci is already undergoing radiation treatments for the spinal lesions that have metastasized from the originating cancer, under the care of doctors at SCOA and Prisma Richland, and has had a cardiac loop recorder implanted to keep an eye on her heart reactions since she has suffered multiple strokes and extreme back pain due to them causing pulmonary emboli in her lungs and spleen, which led to the strokes.

Staci has been unable to work through all of this, but she is motivated for the fight ahead. Her husband Frank, a small business owner in Lexington, SC, has managed to stay by her side through the various appointments and treatments. Realizing the impact of missed work, lost income, co-pays and co-insurance, out of pocket costs for prescription medications and travel to and from appointments, we wanted to start this GoFundMe to ensure Staci and Frank never have to face this season under the weight of financial worry. By stepping in now, we can make sure they're able to focus on what matters most: her comfort, her health and her healing, her time with family, friends and her beloved rescue dog Oscar and the joy of welcoming her first grandchild in the summer of 2026.

Staci has always been the person who shows up for others. She gives of herself without hesitation, loves fiercely, and stands up for the people she cares about. Now it’s our turn to show up for her. Please consider donating. No amount is too small. Every contribution will help ease the burden Staci and Frank are facing. If you’re unable to give at this time, please share Staci’s page and keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Your support in any form will make a meaningful impact in their lives and remind them that they are not facing this alone.
