Support Stacie’s Fight Against Cancer!

Hi, my name is Andrea, and I’m reaching out, along with Batina and Stacie’s closest friends, to ask for your support of our best friend of 15 years, Stacie Jones-Baro.

In 2023, Stacie and her husband, Tom, made the exciting decision to move to California for a promotion Tom had worked hard for. Shortly after their arrival, and while hundreds of miles away from family and friends, Stacie received the devastating news that she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Since then, she has undergone countless rounds of bloodwork, scans, biopsies, and many, many visits with oncologists and other physicians. After much testing, a treatment plan was finally established, and Stacie bravely endured an 8-week round of chemotherapy. While the chemo was effective in shrinking the cancer, she was devastated to learn that it had spread to other parts of her body, leading to a stage 4 diagnosis.

In the coming weeks, Stacie will undergo surgery and, while recovering from that, will also begin another 8-week round of treatment, this time radiation to target the remaining cancer in the breast and other areas of her body.

Stacie is a fighter, and her strength and resilience are nothing short of inspiring. But a diagnosis like this comes with overwhelming and unexpected expenses, especially while being unable to work to receive necessary treatment.

Throughout this journey, Tom has been by her side every step of the way, taking time off from work to care for her and provide support. This has obviously added extra strain to their already challenging situation, as they both navigate the physical and financial toll of Stacie’s illness.

Your donation will go directly toward covering the mounting medical bills and treatment costs that insurance doesn’t fully cover, allowing Stacie to focus on her healing and recovery without the added stress of financial strain.
