Dr Stacey is a dear friend and colleague of mine ! I have known Stacey for over 40 years, ever since we went to Chiropractic school together. For the past 46 years, Stacey has dedicated his life to serving the Malibu

community as a chiropractor. He’s also been

an avid athlete, competing in triathlons, marathons, and criterium bicycle races. His energy and commitment have always inspired those around him. During the Palisade fires, Stacey was there for his neighbors—serving food at local businesses and offering help wherever it was needed, never asking for anything in return.

In December 2025, Stacey faced a major health challenge. He underwent spinal surgery to repair spinal stenosis, multiple discectomies, and three levels of fusions. Despite his determination to recover, Stacey’s eagerness led him to do too much too soon, resulting in a torn fascia and a setback in his healing process. Now, he needs time and support to heal properly, without the pressure of returning to work before he’s ready. On top of this, Stacey also needs a double hip replacement, which is especially challenging for someone whose profession is so physically demanding. The Palisades Fire has also impacted his business, making this time even more difficult.

One of Stacey’s patients shared: “Dear friend, client, and anyone who has come in contact with Stacey Smith, Stacey was the one who discovered that I needed a hip replacement, ahead of all the doctors I’d seen. Stacey is the one who keeps me surfing and moving painlessly and flexibly about the planet. (A little old lady like me surfing at 67?.) I know I’m not alone in saying his hands and expertise is not just wanted, but needed.

Now… Stacey needs us. He needs YOU.

Currently recovering from an extremely

extenaive back surgery, he also needs a double hip replacement. Bi laterally. Both at once. Think about that in his profession which requires him to be physically 100%. Add to this, the Palisades Fire has also done quite a number, limiting his regular clientele, leaning his business on a downward tilt from long before this recent surgery. Even with his expenses close to the bone, we need to give him the recovery time he needs so he can work on our bones. Please help him keep his office and home. Let’s buy him the time to support the best chiropractor and one of the best humans on the planet. Stacey needs you, and he’s too kind, too gentle to ask.”

The funds raised will help Stacey cover his medical bills and, most importantly, his living expenses during this critical time. This support will allow him to focus on healing and regaining his strength, so he can continue to be the caring, generous presence his community knows and loves. Stacey feels truly blessed and grateful for all of you who have helped donated and share this post…the funds will hopefully help him be able to be off work and do therapy to recover properly, lessen his stress and worry about keeping the Malibu office open and waiting on his return, keep his living accommodations still available etc!
