My name is Denise Sweat, and I am married to Stacey Sweat. Recently, our world was turned upside down when Stacey was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer that has metastasized and spread to his omentum, making it difficult to treat locally. He is currently receiving maintenance chemotherapy under the care of Dr. Jha in Waycross.

After much prayer and research, we believe that seeking care at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas is the next best step. Everything we’ve read and felt in our hearts points us there. Stacey has an appointment in December to meet with a team of specialists who will review his case and perform additional testing. We’re holding on to hope that this visit will open doors to new treatment options and healing.

We’re asking for help to cover travel expenses, lodging, and meals during this week-long trip. Any amount you can give will go directly toward supporting our family through this difficult time.
