Support Stacey Smerdell's Fight Against Cancer

You may know our cousin, Stacey, from Westminster College, from Sigma Kappa, or from her employment at Charles Schwab. However you know her though, you’ll remember how she brims with life and self-confidence!
An avid Steelers fan, traveler, and scuba diver, Stacey has always had an adventurous and outgoing spirit. Nearly a decade ago, Stacey faced her biggest challenge, a diagnosis of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She approached her cancer with her mentally tough, straight forward, “daughter of a Marine” ‘come and get me’ mindset. Stacey tackled multiple rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, along with stem cell replacement.
As opposed to living her life, Stacey has spent the past two years literally fighting FOR her life. Stacey is currently diagnosed with Stage 4 Hodgkin’s and her treatment options are limited. Compounding this prognosis is the isolation of the national Coronavirus pandemic. The inability to have the physical presence and support of family, along with her mother Carol’s sudden death in 2018, has left Stacey feeling very much alone in her fight. She is in constant pain, which takes a toll on her mentally and physically.
We are appealing to let Stacey know that she is not alone. These funds will go toward her out of pocket prescription expenses, as well as much needed dental surgery, an after effect of her many treatments from fighting this disease.
Let’s give Stacy a Super Bowl of Support and Prayer so that she can focus on finding peace and comfort this year.
