Todd and Brittaney Lyons of the Westminster area have always had a deep passion for helping rabbits. They were longtime volunteers with their local rabbit rescue until medical challenges forced them to step back. Through everything, one constant source of joy and strength has been their beloved bunny, Stacey.

Stacey came from heartbreaking conditions, but found safety, love, and a second chance when she was adopted by the Lyons. Now, she is facing a life-or-death emergency. Stacey has a kidney stone causing a dangerous obstruction—something that requires immediate surgery to save her life. Obstructions are a true medical emergency for rabbits.

Unfortunately, Todd and Brittaney are facing serious financial constraints and cannot cover the cost of this critical procedure on their own. The surgery to flush the blockage is $2,800. Without coming up with the funds, Stacey will need to be euthanized.

Recently, I faced the same kind of terrifying situation with my own rabbit, Merida. Because of this incredible community, I was able to give her the lifesaving care she needed. I will forever be grateful for that kindness.

Today, I’m asking us to pay that compassion forward—to help another devoted family and to give Stacey the chance to keep living the life she fought so hard to have.
