"Thank you to everyone who has prayed and donated to help my family. It means a lot to us & is super helpful as we are unsure how long we will be here. We have been here since 8/4. I am fortunate my employer is allowing me to work as I can at the hospital. The funds help us with food, gas & supplies while we are here.
Please keep the prayers coming! Zachary is improving and stable. Zachary had emergency GI surgery #1 on 8/7 & was improving until 8/9 when he took a turn for the worse.
On 8/9 Zachary was declining fast, put on morphine & had massive bloating & tachycardia, low BP, high HR, low respiration, trauma unit and CPR on standby in the room for 4 hours before the final X Ray was ordered by an ICU trauma nurse to find the intestinal leak and get a surgery that saved his life on Sunday 8/10. Zachary had large amounts of gas & stool enter in his stomach. They drained 1 L of fluid in his procedure, sealed the leak & placed an ostomy bag. The OR was opened just for our boy at 3am.
Zachary has Norovirus and on Oxygen still. As of today, Zachary has tried to walk, ate 2 solid foods, lung function is improving, learned about his new ostomy bag, & has peed on his own.
Zachary fought hard 2 days ago to be here and continues to fight. He is pushing himself to learn how to do everything all over again even with the sensory challenges the hospital brings.
We saw God move 2 days ago, and a miracle happened that only can be explained as God allowing a medical miracle to save our son. We called on 100's of people to pray. We know God saved our son.
Zachary's case is rare, and they are starting a clinical trial on him to help others. He talked today for the 1st time in 13 days! Every day we were here last week, he kept getting worse. Today we have hope we will be on the road to recovery.
We are on day 9 today and have seen setbacks and improvement. The next 48 is crucial that his heart rate comes down and no sepsis! Sepsis watch starts Thursday this week. Zachary has massive pain & a massive threshold for pain, he is spiking fevers, waiting on chest xray for pneumonia & ultrasound for blood clot in his legs. We are still waiting on multiple tests and biopsies.
Brian & I remain hopeful as we learn our new way of life and our new VIP stay and care at Upstate. We share laughter and tears and lean on our faith and thank God for saving Zachary! We try hard to rest, yet with Zachary not resting, it makes it hard.
We send so much appreciation, admiration & love to every employee at Upstate. We have had over 60 people lay eyes on his diagnoses while here. The nursing staff is amazing. We've shared hugs and tears with the cleaning staff. Zachary has touched so many hearts here that Dr.s come on their day off to see him.
Zachary loves his gifts and cards since he is not allowed visitors. We appreciate every donation & well wish yet need every prayer more to continue to give us the strength to face each day as we are faced with new challenges. Thank you, everyone! "
"I promise that this very day that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles." Zechariah 9:12

Stacey and Brian's beautiful boy, Zachary is currently Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital where he had two life-saving surgeries in the past couple of days and now has a long road to recovery ahead of him.
His parents, Stacey and Brian, are two of the kindest and most caring people, and we can't imagine what they are going through right now. We want to help ease at least some of the stress from this situation. We would like to raise funds to help support them with meals and other necessities while they are in the hospital, as well as dog care services as they are unable to leave to care for their family dog.
If you are able and willing to donate, it is intensely appreciated during this difficult time. If you are unable to, please consider sharing this and please pray for this sweet boy's recovery and for continued strength for his parents. Thank you so much for your support.
