I am raising funds for my children, especially my daughter who has been living with a complex illness for over a decade. She has been mostly bedbound over the years and was recently diagnosed with adrenal insufficiency, on top of several other overlapping and unanswered health issues. My second daughter has similar diagnosis at a lessor extent, but are life impacting just the same - I am doing everything possible by myself to gain a quality of life for her, and to prevent decline of my younger girl; but the costs are overwhelming. The medications to keep my oldest alive are expensive, and the copays for follow-up appointments keep adding up. Without any family nearby to help, I am feeling incredibly overwhelmed and stretched thin. As a single mom, I am unable to leave her alone, which makes balancing everything even more challenging.

All of my children and my self are affected by the environment, and my son is the healthiest, yet is a big supporter of helping his sisters by relocating, despite the impact on his own life. The funds raised will go directly toward my daughter's upcoming surgeries and procedures, genetic testing, genetic counseling, and essential medications. They will also help us create an appropriate living environment, as both my daughters are extremely sensitive to their surroundings. Creating stability and moving to a location that is safe for their bodies is crucial to help them stop reacting and begin to heal. Every dollar will help us build a foundation for their care and for the well-being of my son, who is making sacrifices to support his sisters.

It’s incredibly difficult for me to accept help, as I have always strived to do everything on my own. But my health and my children’s well-being are suffering, and I know I can’t continue alone. Allowing the help of others will give me a chance to breathe and focus on what is best for all of them. Donations, big or small, add up quickly and are deeply appreciated with much gratitude. We plan to share as much of our journey as we can without imposing on my daughter’s privacy, in hopes that one day our experience will help others navigate complex health issues.
