Support St Elizabeth's Recovery from Hurricane Beryl

Donation protected

On July 3, 2024, Hurricane Beryl tore through Jamaica, with its devastating eye passing over St Elizabeth, the heart of our island's agriculture. This parish, known as the breadbasket of Jamaica, has been severely impacted, leaving many of our community members homeless and displaced. The hurricane's fury has also decimated crops, livestock, and livelihoods, plunging families into uncertainty.

My name is Omolora Wilson, a proud representative from the parish of St Elizabeth, that recently experienced the harsh effects of Hurricane Beryl. It’s been 35 days and many places are still without electricity in the parish.

I am a daughter of Sainty Soil and I have been tasked to represent my parish on the national level as their festival queen. As such I have chosen to give back to my community through raising funds to help our people build back.

Despite the immense challenges, we are resilient and determined to rebuild. We are reaching out for your support to aid in our recovery efforts. Your financial contributions will directly assist in providing essential supplies, shelter, and rebuilding efforts. Additionally, donations of clothing and non-perishable food items are warmly welcomed to alleviate immediate needs.

Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by Hurricane Beryl. Your generosity and compassion will help us rebuild our community stronger than ever.

Thank you for your support during this challenging time.

Please consider donating today to support St Elizabeth's recovery. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference in rebuilding lives and restoring hope.

*Please note that the Gofundme will transfer funds to Camoya Nembhard’s US Account who is also from our beloved parish and whose family also suffered dearly!
Camoya will donate the funds via bank transfer and cash in hand. We look forward to your support in this process.
