I grew up around truckers. My dad and uncle were truckers. In fact, the day I was born, my dad was on the road in Texas.
If you know truckers you know what a gritty group of people they are. They are usually the very last to ask for help for themselves. They do anything to support their families. The work is boring at best and dangerous at worst. Our country also relies on this work everyday to get the things we need.
This year I'm fundraising for St. Christopher Truckers Relief Fund to support this incredible group of people. SCTRF works by:
- Providing financial assistance to truck drivers who are unable to work due to medical conditions.
- Supporting health and wellness initiatives that benefit drivers and the trucking industry as a whole.
I grew up in a family supported by truckers so this cause is really important to me. I wouldn't be where I am today without this industry and these incredible workers.
