"Please support your Srishti dance family during the pandemic. Looking for your support to get us going through these tough times."
My name is Swapna Komarraju founder/choreographer of Srishti dance academy. As most of you know, we started our dance journey in the Tampa Bay area in 2007 to share our passion with you all by opening our first studio. We grew gradually with all your support bringing classical dances like kuchipudi, kathak and extending it to Bollywood, Bhangra, Garba, Raas, fusion and Folk our community. Our mission has been to make the lives of our students beautiful with a touch of dance. As part of our journey we have touched more than a thousand kid’s and adults lives by introducing them to dance and making them experts in their area. We always encouraged our students to go into the world and explore as much as they can so that they can keep their dance dreams going. After lots and lots of competitions, wins, workshops, shows, one bollywood ballet production n one kuchipudi ballet, community events and participating big events like iifa and more we are still here standing proud and relishing the joy of dancing with you all.
Before the pandemic hit us we were at full capacity in all the 5 locations we had in Tampa Bay. All our instructors were actively involved and pursuing their passion. In these uncertain times we've closed our studios since March and we are not sure how long we have to keep them closed. We have tried hard to keep the dance passion moving forward with virtual classes, workshops, free classes and other initiatives to help our community to maintain sanity in these tough times. But as our virtual student engagement dwindles, its hard for us to keep the lights on and keep moving forward. As a small business and an integral part of our community, we look to your support to get through these tough times. We really want be still running when all this is over, so that we can go back to our dance world and make it beautiful again. Unfortunately we are afraid that we will lose our studio spaces if we continue at this pace. We urge you to please support us with any donations possible, no donation is small for us and it would mean the world to us to receive the love from you all . We really thank you from the bottom of our hearts and appreciate all the love & support you all have us. Let’s keep dancing.
