Help Sri Lanka Flood Victims – Organized by Sri Lankan Buddhist Society Calgary (SLBSC)

SLBSC is a CRA-registered charity dedicated to supporting humanitarian and community causes.

Severe flooding across Sri Lanka has displaced thousands of families, destroyed homes and livelihoods, and created an urgent need for food, clean water, clothing, medical supplies, and temporary shelter. Many communities—especially low-income and rural areas—are struggling to survive in the aftermath of this disaster.

As Sri Lankan Canadians, this tragedy deeply affects our hearts.

The Sri Lankan Buddhist Society – Calgary (SLBSC) is launching this fundraiser to provide direct and immediate relief to those affected.

How Your Donation Will Help

Your contribution will be used to support:

• Emergency food packs and clean drinking water

• Medical supplies for affected families

• Temporary shelter and essential household items

• Assistance for vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly, and monks living in affected temples

• Distribution through trusted ground-level volunteers and partnered charitable organizations in Sri Lanka

SLBSC will ensure full transparency, with funds directed only toward verified flood-relief needs. Updates will be posted regularly on how the donations are distributed.
