Emergency Fundraising Appeal for Sri Lanka Flood Disaster

Sri Lanka is experiencing torrential rainfall, severe flooding and landslides as the northeast monsoon intensifies, worsened by the impact of Cyclonic Storm Ditwah which made landfall on the island’s eastern coast early morning on 28 November 2025. Cyclone Ditwah has resulted in a devastating nationwide emergency in Sri Lanka, affecting more than 1.7 million people from over 400,000 families across all 25 districts. The cyclone caused more than 1000 confirmed deaths, and many people remain missing. Many families have been displaced into active shelters as homes and community infrastructure sustained severe damage. lot of houses fully destroyed and over many partially damaged.

We are Queens Islamic Community Center located 218-39 93rd Avenue, Queens village, NY 11428, and IRS registered 501C nonprofit organization. we are collecting fund, donation on behalf of affected people's reconstruction their live hood such as house, food, School supplies. baby feeding items etc.
