Support Sreejani's Fight for Life
Donation protected
Sreejani Ghosh, a 23 year old, who graduated from Jadavpur University (an esteemed institution in Kolkata, India) in 2023 was involved in a horrific collision with a bus on Apr 14, 2024. She fell from a bike and a bus ran over her lower body. She sustained severe life-threatening injuries : multiple fractures from her hip to her pelvis, tangled intestines, ruptured colon, to name only a few. The complete diagnosis is available here.
Sreejani’s family has been given an estimate of costs much beyond the financial means of any one individual or her insurance coverage.
Sreejani is a fighter. She is doing her part. Even under these circumstances she has been able to successfully undergo extensive skin transplant on her lower body and sustain life outside any type of life support. Her dressing needs to be changed under full anesthesia and multiple staged surgeries are still needed in the future.
Her aged parents have exhausted their personal funds but Sreejani still has a long road to recovery ahead of her. In view of the astronomical cost of hospital stay for another few months, they have taken the decision to move her back home and continue outpatient treatment at the hospital. This still involves extensive set up for her care at home as Sreejani is still connected to drains, catheter and colostomy bag.
This is a plea from Sreejani’s family, friends, professors to you: please contribute whatever you can within your means to help her stand on her feet again. No value of donation is small.
Every drop will push her closer to that day.
The authenticity of the case has been duly validated through multiple sources. I get regular updates on her status. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.
